Racing Extinction documentary review;
Scientists predict that the planet may lose species by the end of the year. They are watched as the world's sports enter the process of not being great. During the last extinction event, the dinosaur species was completely wiped out. The current period is called the Anthropocene or the 'Human Age' because methods show that humanity caused this catastrophe. The only ones who can stop this are our children. The Oceanic Preservation Society, a group from the Academy Award-winning film The Cove, returned for "Racing Extinction." Along with some new scientists, the OPS team will continue to help thousands of species throughout life. The first threat to wildlife comes from international wildlife trade. Those who have lived on this planet for millions of years are being destroyed. The other danger is hiding around us, everywhere we can see it. But we want these dangers created by oil and gas companies to remain invisible. Director Louie Psihoyos embarks on an ambitious mission to highlight our impact on the planet while encouraging our country to embrace solutions that will leave a better world for future generations.
The film follows the illegal life trade, including filmmakers uncovering a whale meat restaurant in the US and undercover investigations of shark fin and Manta ray.
Anthropogenic global warming resulting from greenhouse gas emissions has been identified as the leading cause of extinction, as organisms are unable to adapt to unprecedented changes not only in temperature but also in weather, ocean chemistry, and atmospheric composition.
